I absolutely love French Marigolds or Melyn Mair Ffrengig in Welsh. This is the first plant that I ever grew myself as a child and every year since the first time I am excited to see them germinate and grow – they’re just full of nostalgia 
They are a great companion plant and one of the best answers to protect other plants against snails and slugs 
Simply put, I couldn’t even imagine a garden without them!
