In the gap between the shed and the greenhouses there was a lovely crop of potatoes in buckets (50 buckets in total) which have now been crushed under the weight of the Ash tree that exploded this afternoon!
The tree is unfortunately infected with ash die back disease and although it looks healthy on the whole it proved quite the opposite today! There is a danger that the whole tree will fall on top of the greenhouses and the garden and cause considerable damage, not to mention being dangerous to anyone in its path!
Thankfully our neighbours have contacted a tree surgeon who will consider the next steps, which will inevitably mean removing the tree completely Be careful if there are ash trees in your gardens, they can be extremely dangerous
