Hatching Eggs

Welsh Harlequin Ducks

We rear Welsh Harlequin Ducks and distribute hatching eggs in the post. Welsh Harlequin Ducks are the only distinctive Welsh duck breed and their numbers are scarce. They are descendants of the Khaki Campbell and lay up to 300 eggs each year. This is just as good as most egg laying hens. One of the advantages of keeping Welsh Harlequin Ducks is that they as a breed are very quiet and very good birds to keep in gardens as they do not fly or run wild like other breeds.

We post the hatching eggs in polystyrene boxes. We usually despatch eggs on Thursday and/or Friday.

We are now posting hatching eggs in the post. The cost of 6 hatching eggs is £18 (includes postage) Please email cyswllt@adamynyrardd.cymru to order.

Japanese Coturnix Quail

We rear Japanese Coturnix Quail and distribute hatching eggs in the post. If you want to keep poultry but don’t have a large garden or live in an urban area and keeping chickens or ducks would be difficult, keeping quails is the perfect solution. They are small birds that don’t need more than a rabbit hutch to keep around 5-6 happy birds. They lay regularly and produce very tasty eggs.

We post the hatching eggs in polystyrene boxes.

. They should start laying again regularly during the spring months.
