Here we are in our second year of beekeeping 
Beekeeping is an amazing experience and the more I learn about them the more I admire and appreciate their important work 
The journey started last year after attending a wonderful beekeeping course with Mêl Gwenyn Gruffydd Honey. Within a month we bought one colony of bees and by the end of the season that colony became three 
It looks promising that we will have survived the winter with three hives and if so we have big plans to increase the number of colonies to around 10 by the end of this year We have therefore created a new apiary in this part of the garden and like everywhere else in the garden a new sign had to be erected to mark this new designated are (Y Wenynfa is Welsh for The Apiary).
Fingers crossed for a good season this year and our first crop of honey in September
