A Welsh language course at the Botanic Gardens

Here is the lovely crew that attended my companion-planting course at the Botanic Gardens of Wales today. This course was held in #Cymraeg and 6 of the members were new Welsh speakers who have learned Welsh during lockdown but with few opportunities to practice their Welsh face to face.

I met them two weeks ago in the garden when they attended my ‘Learn Welsh in the garden’ course and that’s when I asked them to set a personal challenge and consider coming to a Welsh medium course to practice their Welsh and that is exactly what they all did 🤩

It’s vital that we create places where Welsh is the main language and create opportunities for people to practice their Welsh as a natural, day to day language.

I am over the moon and so encouraged by their amazing commitment and efforts 🤩
