The important thing to remember when growing raspberries is to harvest them regularly. The fruits ripen quickly and do not last for a long time on the branches.
I learnt that lesson when I thought ‘I’ll just leave them for another little day’ only then to lose half of them as they have softened, molded and started to rot.
So remember to harvest them every day even if you only have a handful.
Carefully pull the raspberries and the fruit should quite easily come away without the white stems on them.
Eat them fresh with breakfast or freeze until you have enough to make jam or a cheesecake.
