The roots of the salad leaves are developing well!
Seeing the roots always amazes me, growing quietly and undisturbed beneath the soil without us being able to see or measure their growth. That is at least until they squeeze into all the soil that is available for them in the pot as you can see in the photo and then we see the roots escape through the holes at the bottom.
The roots provide vital water, nutrients and minerals to enable the plants to grow and through healthy growth the photosynthesis of the leaves will in turn strengthen the roots. It’s all one efficient system that supports healthy and thriving growth. I will always love the wonders of nature and the growing cycle of plants.
